Snowboarding Like an Olympian

One of the biggest draws for visiting Lillehammer was so that Will could go snowboarding where the Olympics were once held. Will got to snowboard some of the same trails that were used in the 1994 Winter Olympics.

On his way to Hafjell Ski Resort he saw a couple of Norskies biking down the road - talk about dedicated! When he got there he got all set with some rental gear (not the greatest, but it'll do!) and hit the slopes. There was a 6-12 inch pack of snow to start the day, but by the end it wasn't very good. He had a strange veggie burger for lunch which consisted of the bun, onion, artichoke hearts, olives, peppers, the veggie patty, cheese, guacamole, and the top bun. Weird, right?! Around 2:30 in the afternoon Will headed home.

Meanwhile, Adeline and I had a much needed "home" day. After being on the go for a couple of weeks we just needed to relax and get some things done. We did a lot of wiggling and a lot of laundry! We did make it out for a walk, but without Will's help getting out the door took a good twenty minutes. I'm so thankful to not live in a winter climate anymore! On our walk we stopped by the Vinmonopolet (government run liquor store) to get some bottles of wine and the grocery store to get some baby wipes, but Adeline was pretty fussy in the stroller so we headed home. There were so many cute shops in the village I wish I could have gone in to but it was just too hard to go in with Adeline.

Loved looking out this window!

Our house from the street.
Once Will got home he played with Adeline, we got her to bed, and cooked up some leftover taco tubs and sipped some vino. Another fun day in the books!
