Vasa Museum!

Today was one of Will's most anticipated days - we were visiting the Vasa Museum! This is a maritime museum of a huge Viking warship that sank on its maiden voyage in 1628, but was raised 333 years later and is almost fully intact! It is such an amazing ship. It's hard to imagine it being built in the 1600s!

We started the day on our usual path, past the palace and parliament building, and then crossed over the Gold Crown Bridge toward the three mast ship. We walked the tree lined path to the National Park Island, which is home to many museums. We had lunch at the restaurant right over the bridge. The shrimp tagliatelle and mushroom bread were delicious - Adeline agreed!

After lunch we explored the Vasa Museum!

This is the scuba outfit they wore when they were bringing some of the ship up!

After the museum we walked around the island a little bit, exploring and finding a great place for lunch tomorrow!

Lunch place for tomorrow! So hygge!

We veered off path into Östermalm and saw the Ecoparken skating rink, and some moose!

It was time to head home after a busy day exploring. We enjoyed the pretty lights on the parliament building as we walked home.

After we got Adeline settled for the night, Will went to pick us up some delicious pizza from Michelangelos in Gamla Stan. It was so good!
