A Weekend in Minnesota!

 Wednesday, September 5th

This past weekend we ventured back to MN for our good friends' wedding.  I left a few days earlier than Will so that I could see my friend Brittany before the wedding festivities began.  I stayed with her a couple nights and we had a great time going out, chatting, having dinner and game night with her boyfriend, and getting our nails done!




Friday, September 7th 

In one day I made two stops to Lunds, the best grocery store on Earth! And look at the end cap they had. Go Gophers!


After a couple days with Britt, I was off to see Emily.  We met up with our friend Hali to have lunch while the boys were at work : )  Emily and I then went to pick up Will from the airport.  We decided to make dinner at home, family style.  We had a delicious pesto dinner.

We had a nice relaxing evening hanging out at Nate and Emily's house with their puppy Foxy. Such a cutie patootie she is!




 Saturday, September 8th

Saturday was the big day! Isn't this a beautiful setting for a wedding!

 

Ahh! So wonderful to have us all together. Love you all soooo much!

Sunday, September 9th

 
A late night and early morning called for bloodies at the airport before our flight home!

We had a great time seeing all of our friends; those who are still in MN and those who came in from all parts of the country! We thank them for all of the hospitality and rides they provided us!

Happy Halloween!

Even though last year was technically Adeline's first Halloween, this year felt like the first true Halloween because we got to go out and enjoy the festivities! The Temescal Business District hosted a Trick-or-Treating event for the kids and had fun activities along the way like free books from the library, story time, a dance party at the yoga studio, costume contests, and more I'm sure but we only made it a few blocks! We had a great time and the businesses were so generous and kind to the kids. Our little ladybug! She would only wear the wings from her costume, but she held on to the wand and headband. There was a fun skirt, too but she didn't want anything to do with it. Oh well. People still thought she was cute! Getting some raisins. Still trying to understand the concept of Trick-or-Treating! Will Pitches Hawaii

Will's company, Terviva, recently won a grant allowing them to get a commercial size planting of their trees in the ground. The project will take place mostly on the island of Oahu. As part of the grant program the company is invited to pitch its concept to a group of about 250 private investors from the state of Hawaii. Since Will has been working so hard on getting the project going, he was the person chosen to give the pitch! Will worked incredibly hard preparing for this event and did a great job! Will created new connections and peaked the interest of several people in the audience. Will has received great praise for his work by his colleagues and the people who are offering the grant. A Day in Napa Valley

Beginning with our first wedding anniversary, Will and I have spent a day visiting a winery or two.  It was my dream that someday we would take a trip to Napa or Sonoma to celebrate our anniversary; maybe for our 20th anniversary or the like. Never did I imagine that we would be spending our third wedding anniversary exploring Napa and San Francisco! We decided a short while ago that we didn't want to have to worry about either of us driving, one, because neither of us really knew where we were going, two, so that both of us could look out the windows and enjoy the scenery, and three is a no brainer, we would be tasting wine all day!  We explored some options and decided on a shuttle bus tour that would take us from SF to Napa, take us to several wineries, and end with a ferry ride on the bay back into the city.
