Another Day at the Aquarium
Today we woke up to a much more typical day in Monterey. It was so foggy and wet that there were water droplets all over the windows like it had rained! I'm not complaining though because it's exactly what I was hoping for in our Monterey weekend.
Thanks to Will's status with the hotel we had a really late check out, so we didn't have to worry about any of that before we went off to the aquarium again. Today you could tell that Adeline remembered where she was and felt a lot more confident and independent. She was off and running pretty quick!
But first, we had to check out the otters again.
Yesterday she seemed a little scared in the Open Sea exhibit since it was so dark. Today though she seemed quite comfortable! ha!
Up next was something new for today: Sea Birds! There was an amazing kids play area that Adeline could have spent her entire life in.
We went back to the kelp forest because Adeline like it so much. We checked in on the penguins again before ending the morning at the baby play area (well, and one more look at the otters of course!).
We had lunch back at the hotel and then were back on the road to come home. We had such an amazing time in Monterey. I know Adeline will never remember it, but we will, and I hope all of these experiences in life will shape her into the lovely young lady I know she'll be.
