It's becoming one of Adeline's favorites. Here I was peeking out from behind our front closet door. She loved it!


We also had a lot of fun playing around before bedtime tonight. Turns out the crib is a great place to practice crawling because the surface is smooth but very soft!

Minneapolis Love

We are so lucky to have such wonderful friends in our lives. We were invited to the wedding of two dear friends, JJ and Ashley, which was happening in Minneapolis. We decided to make a week of it and see our wonderful friends. Friday and Saturday nights we stayed with our friends Sean and Kiri. I have to say that I got a little caught up in everything and sadly didn't take that many pictures of our time in Minneapolis. Here we are at the wedding on Saturday evening.

Mountain Biking through the Redwoods

Will has been yearning to go Mountain biking since the day before we knew we were even moving to California - ha! When we got out here we knew we needed to upgrade my bike, so I got a brand spanking new one on sale at REI back in July. I'd used it several times just around the city, but it was time to go test it out on some trails! We ventured off to Redwood Regional Park which is a whopping 15 minute drive from our apartment, right here in Oakland. We are so lucky to have such diversity in landscape just a short distance from us! When we got there we started off with a picnic lunch in the Redwood Bowl, which is a big opening in the middle of the park. It was an extremely foggy morning. It was 12:15 already and still this foggy! It made for a really cool atmosphere though, it felt like a rainforest inside. Then we were off on our bike ride. "Vacation" on the North Shore

Will's been working loooong hours lately, even on the weekends, and he recently got a couple of big deadlines met, so it was time to do a little relaxing. We took the day to play around on the North Shore. After breakfast at home we headed toward Haleiwa. We wanted to shop around for a few decorations for our new home and have some lunch. We found a couple of great pictures for our living room and had lunch at Bonzai Sushi. Will had been there before, but it was a first for me. After lunch we made our way up to Waimea Bay, a very popular beach and winter surf spot that we had never been to before. It's been a crazy hot summer so it was great to get out to the beach. Off to the west side of the beach there is a big rock that people jump from. Will went over to partake in that. While Will was rock jumping, I enjoyed a beach beer . . . that was made it Monroe, Wisconsin! Will made his way back to me, phew! We enjoyed the people watching and watching this guy kit...
