Family Fun in Sausalito

Will has been working extremely hard this month on a presentation he gave this past week while in Florida. He's been working super late nights and Saturdays, too. Now that he is back from that trip and did an amazing job with the presentation (he gave it twice!), we spent a nice relaxing weekend not working, and just enjoying being a family. We didn't really want to make big plans or any to-dos for the weekend, but when we woke up on Saturday Will was in the mood for going out and about so at about 8:15am we decided to go to Sausalito for the day! We quick got ourselves and Adeline ready for the day in an hour! and were out the door by 9:30am, just in time for her to nap on our way up.

When we got to Sausalito we walked around for a little while and enjoyed the beautiful view.


Then we had lunch at Napa Valley Burgers. Afterward we walked along the waterfront and Adeline fell asleep for over an hour! So we just walked and walked until she woke up, which was just when I was in the mood for a little coffee. We stopped at Firehouse Coffee for a pumpkin latte for me and iced coffee for Will. The little garden was so sweet. After enjoying the beautiful afternoon it was time to make our way back home. It was such a wonderful day together!


Love these two so much my heart nearly explodes every day!

A Tough Day

Today was a tough day for the little keiki. For whatever reason she just didn't want to nap in her crib, and instead needed to be rocked in the rocking chair. She wasn't hungry, wasn't sick, and doesn't even have a tooth coming through yet. I guess she just needed some Mama cuddles. Though I missed having my "break" to do things like shower, eat, ya know, no big deal, I reminded myself that someday in the not-so-distant future I'll be longing for these days of holding her in my arms while she sleeps. So, we enjoyed a very slow paced day around the house filled with snuggles. In between the rocking chair naps we did get in a little fun playtime though!

Happy Halloween!

Even though last year was technically Adeline's first Halloween, this year felt like the first true Halloween because we got to go out and enjoy the festivities! The Temescal Business District hosted a Trick-or-Treating event for the kids and had fun activities along the way like free books from the library, story time, a dance party at the yoga studio, costume contests, and more I'm sure but we only made it a few blocks! We had a great time and the businesses were so generous and kind to the kids. Our little ladybug! She would only wear the wings from her costume, but she held on to the wand and headband. There was a fun skirt, too but she didn't want anything to do with it. Oh well. People still thought she was cute! Getting some raisins. Still trying to understand the concept of Trick-or-Treating! Dance party at the yoga studio. Aunt Mary's Cafe made fresh baked "Witches Fingers." Adeline loved hers but we got stuck in the B
