Tax Day = Trump Day

Here in Hawai`i we are *fortunately* isolated from much of the political landscape. As much as Will and I would like to be able to get out there and have our voices be heard, it's nice to live in one of the bluest states in the country and enjoy the benefits that comes along with it. Yet we know that back on the mainland there is a lot going on and many good things are in jeopardy of being threatened. So when the worldwide Tax Day marches were announced to encourage Trump to release his taxes, we were in!

Before the march though, Tesla was holding a test drive event right down the street from where the march began, so of course we had to go check it out. We've gotten up close to them before, even sat in one, but never drove it. At one point Will gunned it and I felt like the wheels had lifted up and we were flying! Will also got to use the self driving feature and sure enough, the car drove along curves and even stopped behind a car at a red light all on its own. Crazy!

Then it was time for the march. We joined many others near Ala Moana Beach Park and marched down to the Kuhio Federal Building.

The chicken arrived!

He was our special guest.

After our march we were hungry and thirsty! We went to Smith and Kings for a beer and shared the fish and chips. Then we went to Murphy's for beer, shuffleboard, and shared their fish and chips. (Smith and Kings was definitely better!) We ended the night at Bar Leather Apron, and whiskey bar Will had been wanting to go to for a long time. I had an amazing old fashioned. Will tried a couple peaty whiskeys. Now hopefully Trump will release his taxes, but I'm not holding my breath!
