Waimano Falls Hike

Today we decided to do a little adventuring, as we certainly fell back into our usual routine during the week, and just sticking to our neighborhood beach on the weekend (which is a special place to be sure!)

Today's hike was a fairly quick one. Only about two hours round trip, but it led us to a secret little waterfall back in the valleys of Pearl City.

The hike started nice and flat with wide walkways, but once we started going deeper into the valley we started to hike down the side of one of the mountains and it quickly became pretty steep and rugged. It was a great workout!

At the end of the trail was this beautiful waterfall. Unfortunately there were several people there that were not being the most respectful, so it was difficult to thoroughly enjoy. But Will was able to take a quick dip, and it was still a nice experience. (I didn't take my own picture of the falls because of the people there, but here's one I found from a quick google search).

We turned back around and went back up the trail. Some of the trails were steep and didn't have much to step on, so some people have added these ropes to help you climb up.

This hill was pretty challenging going back up!

And of course no good hike ends without a pau hana, so we stopped by Waikiki Brewing Company for a beer tasting, poke, and to fill our growler. It was a fun adventure day!
