Morning Play

Image
This little girl was up at 6:05am. An hour earlier than her usual 7am (give or take ten minutes, but still - so early!). We started off with some relaxing stacking cubes while Mama drank a little extra coffee!

Snacks on Snacks!

Image
Today Adeline and I finally  got the car washed! She's such a good little girl while we wait, especially when I pack snacks! We get there right when they open so that we're the first car, and Adeline has some second breakfast. Outfit brought to you by an almost two-year-old!  Look at those blue eyes! Nom Nom Nom Since Adeline was so patient this morning I made sure that we got out to play this afternoon. Of course, we get all the way to the park just for her to play with the shopping cart (we have one at home) and eat snacks. Oh well, at least we got some fresh air! (She got some good running in though, got to swing, and watch the dogs play so it was a success!) I asked her to show me the grocery cart for the picture and this is what she did! We are certainly loving these longer days and warm sunshine.

Sundays are the Best

Image
Just another Sunday funday over here! We had "Christmas Pancakes" for breakfast. (Meredith and David gave us a delicious pancake mix and jam to go with for Christmas, so we called them Christmas Pancakes 😊) Then Will and Adeline headed out on another hike so that I could go to yoga! Aren't they the best?!

Dance Party!

Image
I rarely get evidence of dance parties because once I start filming the music turns off! What's with that iPhone?! Anyway, here are some stills from our dance party today.

Talking Politics

Today I went in to the office while our babysitter came to spend most of the day with Adeline. While they were hanging around they had a little time to talk politics!

A Sunday Hike

Image
It was a beautiful weekend and we couldn't wait to get outside some more. Will and Adeline went on a hike here yesterday, but they were up for going out again - this time with some friends, too! This ridge is only about a five minute drive from home! I love that we have places like this right in our backyard! The girls had so much fun hiking in the backpacks and walking on their own. After our hike we even got to enjoy some Impossible burgers, grilled cheese, and a beer at the neighborhood restaurant called The Station. It was a perfectly perfect Bay Area day! Are these two not the cutest? BFFs already! Getting a little messy at lunch! Deep conversations with Papa I think she had fun today! We sure did! After such a busy morning we took the afternoon to relax around home.

A Papa and Daughter Day

Image
Though I don't start work full time until February, I've been going in a little here and there and this week the company had offsite meetings. Will was wonderful to take two days off so that I could attend the meetings. Today he and Adeline went hiking on their new favorite trail. This is just the best, right?!

Fun at Gymboree!

Image
One thing I'll be really sad to end now that I'm going back to work is our membership at Gymboree. Many of our friends have moved on by now, too, but Adeline always has so much fun. Adeline has grown up so much by coming to Gymboree and I know that it fostered her outgoing, social personality. It also gave us something to do many times each week other than sitting around at home or countless trips to Target! I usually keep the phone packed away and just enjoy our play time together, but since our days are coming to an end I had to capture our fun! For a little walk down memory lane you can check out my post about Gymboree when we first started attending last year:  https://adventuresofwillanderin.blogspot.com/2019/03/gymboree-fun.html  ugh! Can you even?! I'll just be over here crying. . .  After two hours of play time we came home for lunch and a nice long nap!

Our Little Storyteller

Image
Adeline became too much of big girl for her highchair during our holiday trip, so she now has a new big girl chair! She continues to love jamming to her tunes! And she has now taken up storytelling, too! In the first video she's telling a story putting together pieces from: driving under an overpass in Minneapolis when she said "tunnel" for the first time, Will talking to his dad about the hotel in downtown Minneapolis that they were going to be staying at for the night, and the Red Sled book that my mom got her for Christmas (it's about a group of animal friends going sledding and after going over a jump they go "fluoomp..ft") She loves her Uncle David, Auntie Mere, and Big Doggie George who live in Cago! Also, it's beyond me how one month from today Adeline will be two years old!
