Cherry Picking in Brentwood

The hardest part of our shelter-in-place orders is not being able to go on our little weekend adventures like we used to. However, recently the fruit farms in Brentwood, about a 45 minute drive from Oakland, opened up for fruit picking! Bacchini's created a reservations system to allow only a certain amount of people in at a time and the place was impeccably clean. It was pretty easy to stay far away from other groups and for a while we were totally on our own! I'm so glad our friends talked us in to going because we had so much fun!

Adeline loved eating the cherries. She definitely left a trail of half eaten cherries behind her!

Picking cherries is a lot of work, so we stopped for a little rest break with Papa.

Just down the road from the Brentwood cherry farms are some housing developments. We stopped in one to have a picnic in their beautiful park. Again, we had so much fun!

Too excited about her lunch to take a picture!

Adeline is becoming Little Miss Independent!

Such a fun, open park space!

Adeline is also becoming quite a soccer star!

We decided to keep the fun going with a little at home date night. Will picked up dinner from Belotti, an Italian restaurant down the street. We enjoyed it out on the patio after Adeline went to sleep.

It felt so good to get out of our little bubble and have a little adventure! Here is our haul from the day! Will and I spent a long time pitting these the next day and now we'll have cherries for months!
