Play-Doh Fun!

Image
In the order of toys I placed a while back, I got Adeline a set of play-doh and tools. I tucked it away for when we were getting desperate for a new toy and this morning we brought it out! Adeline loved it and it kept us busy for an hour and a half! We had some nice quiet play time this morning, so this afternoon called for bouncing and jumping around!

My New Secretary

Image
Did I mention that through this whole shelter in place I'm also trying to work?! Will and I are both so lucky to still have our jobs and won't complain for a minute about our situation, but it's still really hard. We're a family with a two year old, stuck in a 750 square foot apartment all day every day, and trying to work full time jobs, keep the house running, and trying not to lose our sanity. As a result, Adeline sees us working a lot and has had a strong uptick in her minutes of screen time each day. It's a matter of survival around here! At least I have a cute new secretary, right?!

Time to Run!

Most nights before bed it's "Time to Run!"

Goal!

We started with a little play time at home before Adeline and I got out of the house for some fresh air. We packed up some toys and a picnic and headed for a park (with no playground of course!). Adeline had so much fun playing soccer, aka picking up the ball and putting it through the square in the net. She did however kick the ball all around the field, I just wasn't able to capture it. We took a little break for a picnic lunch. On our way home Adeline "called" her friend!

Fun Bike Ride!

That's all Adeline could say when she got home from her first bike ride with Papa. We've had this trailer boxed up in storage for months and we figured a shelter in place order was the best time to put it together! I only wish I could fit in there with her!

Lots of Fun at Home!

Image
"What time is it?" has been one of Adeline's questions lately so we got her a clock puzzle to start working on her telling time skills! She's also been a great helper in the kitchen. This morning we made chocolate chip cookies! After her nap we went out on the lanai for some fresh air and to check on the garden. "That's Buddha!" Helping Papa smell the flowers. To offset the cookies this morning we roasted some broccoli this afternoon! Broccoli is best enjoyed while watching a show. That kinda counts right?

Smiles for Days

Image
Staying at home has been trying at times, but it's days and moments like these tat make up for it. We have a long road ahead, but may our time at home together be filled with many moments like these. The "Mama Chase You" game has been popular these days for a little indoor exercise!

Morning Fun

Our days are pretty simple these days! Lots of playtime at home! And fun at breakfast! Afternoon snack look-a-likes.

A Stroll through Jack London Square

Image
With parks off limits we needed to go for a little walk where there were no playgrounds in sight. JLS is a great open area, always nice and clean and filled with boats and birds! After nap time Adeline did some cooking.

Out for a Scoot

Image
We were in desperate need of fresh air and outdoor activity so this morning Adeline and I ventured out to the Montclair Railroad trail for a little scoot.
