Wild Child

Today our friend Penny had off of daycare so her mom and I took the girls to the new Wild Child exhibit at the Junior Center of Art and Science near Lake Merritt. The girls had fun morning exploring lots of hands-on activities and fun lit rooms!

Minneapolis Love

We are so lucky to have such wonderful friends in our lives. We were invited to the wedding of two dear friends, JJ and Ashley, which was happening in Minneapolis. We decided to make a week of it and see our wonderful friends. Friday and Saturday nights we stayed with our friends Sean and Kiri. I have to say that I got a little caught up in everything and sadly didn't take that many pictures of our time in Minneapolis. Here we are at the wedding on Saturday evening.

Mountain Biking through the Redwoods

Will has been yearning to go Mountain biking since the day before we knew we were even moving to California - ha! When we got out here we knew we needed to upgrade my bike, so I got a brand spanking new one on sale at REI back in July. I'd used it several times just around the city, but it was time to go test it out on some trails! We ventured off to Redwood Regional Park which is a whopping 15 minute drive from our apartment, right here in Oakland. We are so lucky to have such diversity in landscape just a short distance from us! When we got there we started off with a picnic lunch in the Redwood Bowl, which is a big opening in the middle of the park. It was an extremely foggy morning. It was 12:15 already and still this foggy! It made for a really cool atmosphere though, it felt like a rainforest inside. Then we were off on our bike ride. Under the Weather

Today Adeline wasn't feeling that great with a combo of teething, runny/stuffy nose, and a cough, so we took a day to rest and relax. The weather outside matched our mood perfectly, too. We're not big on TV watching around here but I let her watch a couple of shows. We put on Arthur and while the show was going she went to her room and got out an Arthur book! So smart!!
