A's Win!

Image
I met Will and some of his colleagues for drinks and appetizers after work.  Then it was off to the Coliseum for the Red Sox vs. A's game!  This was such a fun game, we blew the Red Sox out of the ballpark with several instances of loaded bases, home runs, and grand slams! We won this game 20 - 2 and ended up sweeping the whole series! End of 7th inning score: A's 18, Red Sox 2 Behind Will you can see the final score: 20 - 2!

Life sure gets busy!

Hi everyone! I am SO sorry that I haven't posted anything for weeks!  After our busy first weekend in August things slowed way down.  Will spent the next two weeks traveling for work.  One week was spent in Sonoma with his entire company as they held meetings and team building activities.  Here is a picture of one of the wineries they visited. The next week Will traveled to the company's nursery and planting sites outside of Orlando, FL and Houston, TX.  Now we are hoping the trees in Florida didn't get affected too badly by hurricane Isaac.  Will is now back working out of the Oakland office, but is as busy as ever! When he's not in the office working, he is at home working for Terviva or on his thesis. In the meantime I have been making some friends, going out for drinks with a few people.  I am also deep into the job search, writing a lot of cover letters, tailoring resumes, and attempting to make connections and meet with people whenever I can! A Day in Napa Valley

Image
Beginning with our first wedding anniversary, Will and I have spent a day visiting a winery or two.  It was my dream that someday we would take a trip to Napa or Sonoma to celebrate our anniversary; maybe for our 20th anniversary or the like. Never did I imagine that we would be spending our third wedding anniversary exploring Napa and San Francisco! We decided a short while ago that we didn't want to have to worry about either of us driving, one, because neither of us really knew where we were going, two, so that both of us could look out the windows and enjoy the scenery, and three is a no brainer, we would be tasting wine all day!  We explored some options and decided on a shuttle bus tour that would take us from SF to Napa, take us to several wineries, and end with a ferry ride on the bay back into the city. What a great choice we made! Not only did we get to lay back and enjoy the ride, we had the opportunity to meet and talk with a lot of interesting people! Saturday, Au
