I Love You, California!

All our usual holiday traditions look a little different this year. But we're lucky that right next to Adeline's preschool is a wonderful flower shop that turns in to a Halloween store and pumpkin patch! It quickly became a hit and we made a visit after school more times than I can count! We got home and set up our pumpkins and ghosts!

Adeline remains busy with her art projects. She loves wearing her sunnies at school - even during lunch! They've been practicing the song "Cinco Calabazas" and in it one of the calabazas is angry, so she's doing her angry face here! Mr. Mighty Mind! Dominoes And the weather has been SO gorgeous! We're loving our beautiful backyard!

Fall themed activities have taken over preschool these days and I love it! I also love that our poor, sad looking palm trees are getting all cleaned up today! They look SO good! One of Adeline's favorite activities is munching on Goldfish while she watches the cars and neighbors go by! Adeline also loves to wear her cape to play superhero and"shortcut" where she runs around the house pitter pattering on the floor. Here she's cooking up some lunch in her kitchen! I love that her kitchen is now in the actual kitchen!

This morning Adeline requested donuts, so we made some from some biscuits that we had in the fridge! Last night as we were cleaning up I opened the cabinet under the sink and noticed the garbage disposal had completely fallen off! Eww! So Will got going right away this morning on garbage disposal replacement. We are now proud owners of the Badger 500! For the afternoon, we spent some time playing in the dollhouse nook.

Yesterday Adeline brought home my favorite piece of artwork yet! Look at her beautiful handprint tree! I think I'm going to keep this one forever! We hung it up and she showed me how she made it! Later on we went to Target. Adeline was such a good helper and helped me get things off the shelf and put it in her own basket! We worked up an appetite shopping! We also had some very important measuring to do around the house to get ready for a new shelf! And like usual, Adeline was a great helper.

This is a year like none other so there was never going to be much celebrating, and this year my celebration was a simple and delightful cinnamon roll and veggie bacon breakfast in our new kitchen. The rest of the day was spent painting all. day. long. It was a very special birthday. How many girls get a new house for their birthday?!
