Happy Halloween!

Image
It was a good thing that yesterday was filled with treats because today was mostly tricks! We started off with our Haunted House story. Adeline took care of Papa so he wouldn't be scared. "I got you Papa." Our big trick was unplanned water main repair! Remember how I mentioned the sidewalks in the neighborhood were being repaired? Well, ours needed to be repaired right where the water meter is, but the pipe was old and leaking so it was suggested by the sidewalk people and EBMUD that we replace it. Sigh. So we got a plumber out in a day's time to replace the pipe leading up to the house and then were able to have the city take care of the sidewalk repair! But now our yard is all torn up . . . A card came in the mail with a black cat on it so Adeline wanted to give it to Rory. It was a beautiful evening, so we had some cupcake treats and played outside! Tonight is the time change so we got to enjoy an extra hour of the beautiful night!

Halloween Celebrations

Today was a busy day! It started with watching construction in our neighborhood (they are putting in new sidewalk cutouts and repairing panels).   Followed by Cheerios for breakfast. Then it was time to get ready for Halloween at school! Here's our little "Scary Alien." At school they held an outdoor performance for the families. The kids sang a couple of songs (Cinco Calabazas!) and then went "Trick-or-Treating" at the door to the 3s classroom. Here are some nice pictures taken by the school director's husband. They even had a beautiful Day of the Dead altar.

Twirls and Cuddles

Adeline can finally fit in to the dress she got from Grandma Sally for her birthday!  She's also become quite the climber at school! And loves her Papa cuddles. Always a good helper when cleaning up!

Summer Nights

Adeline was giving her best impression of Uncle David here: October is definitely summer in the Bay Area. We've been loving our warm nights!
